LOCAL ORCHESTRA FOR MY WEDDING NEXT YEAR. . . . ?

Posted By admin on March 27th, 2010

I unequivocally wish my marriage to be special. It's regularly been my mental condition to have a small, not a quartet, may be a twelve pc band during a church. However, we cannot means a Manila Philharmonic Orchestra or a Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra. Do we know any affordable orchestra? (but can fool around air in G or gunnery unit in D?)

I suspicion it would be some-more special if they have been girl orchestra,or. . i dont know. Please assistance me. . . .

A 60 pc band wouldnt fit in a church. It's unequivocally a small, intimate, filipiniana wedding.

If there are any colleges or universities near you, call and see if they have a music department and if they either have any existing orchestras/bands that you could hire or if they could put you in touch with individual music students. Might be worth a shot. Good luck!

You could look for a high school or local college orchestra, or a community orchestra. They will always be cheaper than professionals.

Honey, I am going to go the other way on this one. I own a chamber music business in NY, and we have provided classical music for HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of beautiful weddings. The works you have listed certainly do not need 12 pieces – they can be done beautifully by four, or six at most However, go for QUALITY – do not hire kids – hire PROFESSIONALS. By all means, call your local symphony orchestra, and tell them what you wish – and they will provide you with wonderful people, who have professional-level skills, a huge repertoire, all the extra equipment needed, insurance, and a generally more polished business approach. Cheap is cheap. If you wanted a special MEAL – and the local caterers were too expensive – would you call a cooking school and ask if their STUDENTS could cook for your wedding?? Of course not. You are getting married ONCE (we hope!). The high level of quality is remembered FAR LONGER than the momentary thrill of a low price. My ensembles are FAR from the cheapest around – and my phone still rings after all these years in business.

This is like those posts where kids ask about teaching lessons to younger kids – and they have VERY little idea HOW to do it – it just *seems* like a good idea! Get professionals, and go for a smaller group.
